Jwana Gunn’s BIO
Jwana Gunn began her Postal career in August of 1990 as a part-time flexible Letter Machine Operator. She has worked in various capacities over her 30 year span, including Data Collection Technician, Training Technician, Supervisor Customer Services, Combined Federal Campaign Loaned Executive, Officer-In-Charge and Human Resources Specialist. She has held the position of Customer Relations Coordinator for the Alabama District of the United States Postal Service for the last 7 years and loves the connection she has with her customers. Jwana has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management and is currently pursuing another Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education from UAB. She has one daughter, Karsyn, two nephews, Jaylin and Kobe, two nieces, Eboni and Raven, and one great nephew Kai, all of whom she treasures.
John Richardson’s BIO
John Richardson Jr. began his 30+ years postal career as a Letter Carrier in Birmingham, Alabama and has worked his entire career in the Alabama District. Early in his career he was promoted to Supervisor, Customer Services, in the City of Birmingham. Richardson later assumed the position Manager, Customer Services, and served in this role in almost all of the larger stations and branches in Birmingham, including the Green Springs and Downtown Carrier Facilities, Center Point Station, West End Station, Forestdale Station, and the River Run/Mountain Brook Station. He was also the Postmaster of Bessemer, Alabama. Richardson has acted in several detail assignments, which include the Manager, Post Office Operations (Area 3) and Officer In Charge (OIC) Birmingham, Alabama three different times. He has served on the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Joint Safety Task Force and is the Postal Co-Chair for the Greater Birmingham Postal Customer Council (PCC), which recently certified as a Platinum status PCC. Richardson attended Jefferson State Community College and is Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt Certified. Richardson has also completed the United States Postal Service’s Management Leadership Program (MLP). Richardson was promoted from within the Alabama District where he most recently served as Manager, Customer Service Operations and Officer In Charge, Birmingham, Alabama. He has been married to his wonderful wife Tracy for over 30 years.
Georgina Montalvan’s BIO
Georgina Montalvan began her sales and account management career a few years out of college working for Marvel Entertainment. From there she went on to work for College Television Network and The Educator’s Network, where she was instrumental in acquiring clients like Honda and Google. Three years ago she decided to shift her focus from education to financial institutions and joined OSG over a year ago where she manages clients throughout the country and Puerto Rico. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. Georgina has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from California Polytechnic University of Pomona. A native of Los Angeles, CA, she has made Birmingham, AL her home for the past 6 years, where she lives with her son Sam, who is 12.
